Brielle had her one-year wellness check on Thursday of this week. She weighs 21 pounds and 4 ounces and measures 29.25 inches tall! We forgot to ask for the percentiles. :( When the doctor came in, she walked right over to him and he picked her up and sat on his lap! The doctor said that is just "what we like to see at 12 months...no fear of strangers and walking!!" Her check up went great and we got the okay to introduce whole milk. That's not going as great as we would have liked, but mixing with her formula seems to help a little. When the nurse came back in to to her her two shots :( she said that Dr. Cox was raving about her in the hallway! :) She did great with the shots and then we went off to the lab to have her finger pricked for the lead test. That was not fun for ANY of us. Daddy held her and she screamed and screamed and screamed!! The poor woman taking her blood was all flustered. Brielle was wet with sweat by the time she was done. She fell asleep in the car as soon as we started driving. She was back to herself as soon as we got home.
Here are some things that Brielle does now that she is one:
*Walking!! She is a very cautious, but walks everywhere and from one side of the room to the other
*Says: "Bye" "baby" and "uhh ohh"
*Claps and dances at the TV when there is a show on
*Plays with her "baby," puts it into the stroller or the shopping cart and pushes it all over the place
*Plays with her magnetic "fridge farm" that's on the refrigerator at just her height
*Opens cabinets in the kitchen
*Loves to ride in her new bike!
Below are some pictures of the past week's activities:

We went through a big 'fridge farm' phase, too! It sounds like she is doing just great-- congrats on such a happy and healthy girl!
