Happy Anniversary House!!

One year ago today, we closed on our house! It's amazing to us that it's been a year! We couldn't be happier with our house and both of us often say how much we love our house, even though Al did say today that living in an apartment was a lot easier! As homeowners know, projects are never done and there's always something that needs to be done, or we want to have done. We have chosen a great community to raise Brielle, and, even though I sometimes feel that we are in the middle of nowhere compared to growing up in Kingston for me and West Bridgewater for Al, it's been more than we anticipated. We look forward to spending many years here and creating so many memories. Here's a list of things that we've done to the house since July 10, 2009!

*Painted baby's room, guest room, kitchen, and master bedroom,
*Replaced all carpet
*Got a new mailbox
*Painted the back and side deck (that's still not completely done)
*Hung pictures everywhere, including our Brielle wall of Michelle Carr pictures going up our stairs
*ripped out shrubs, cut back trees and shrubs, and cleaned out all of the beds around the yard
*fixed the driveway by adding more dirt/gravel twice! (This may be a yearly project)
*Got the sprinkler system up and running and have beautiful green grass!
*Ripped out the fish tank and salon that was in our basement and created a media room and playroom/office
*Replaced the microwave
*Dealt with the water in our basement this spring
*Painted the front porch (another project that's not completely done)
*Planted some perenials in the flower beds, and annuals in the window boxes.

There's probably some things that we are missing here, but it's quite the accomplishment! Al's latest project is installing an above ground pool in our yard! It was just delivered today and the goal is to have it up and running for Brielle's first birthday party! My latest project is making Brielle's bathroom upstairs into a kid's bathroom. Stay tuned for pictures of both these projects!

This last picture is of Al's Father's Day gift!

Thanks for reading and thank you to all of our friends and family who have helped us this past year with anything to do with our house! If we list names we'd probably accidentally forget someone, but you know who you are! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
